Purgatory Chasm

Next Wednesday, August 26, SH students from IGNITE are headed to Purgatory Chasm. We're meeting at the church at 10:30 am and will be back around 3 pm. To go, you must let me know at michael_robinson@ccfchurch.net (or message me on FB) by Tuesday (August 25) at noon. If you come, make sure you wear closed toe shoes and bring a water bottle. IGNITE is headed to West Kingston Baptist Church on June 28th for the summer UNITED event. Join us for an incredible evening of games, fellowship, burgers, dogs (that's Hot-Dogs), worship and much more.

Join us Sunday night from 5:30 to 7:30 pm as we continue our "Blazing Hot Worship" series by talking about "A Soothed Heart." We as humans don't like being uncomfortable. And while there are plenty of things to make us feel the need for relief, there is nothing that can make a person more uncomfortable than being burdened with guilt and sin. On Sunday night, we're going to look at a Psalm that celebrates God's relief-giving and burden-lifting pardon and the joy that comes from walking close to Jesus daily.

And as always, we will have a wonderful time of fellowship, playing, eating and more. Join us at REAL LIFE this Sunday night.

The book of Psalms is a book of songs written for God...songs of worship, songs of crying out, songs of distress, songs that call upon God. On March 22,IGNITE will be starting a brand new series based off of the book of Psalms called "Blazing Hot Worship." We as followers of Jesus Christ are to worship in such a way that is on fire. And the way to do that is to work on our hearts. For six weeks, we are going to examine our hearts, we're going to work on our hearts so that we might become blazing hot worshippers of the one true God--Jesus Christ.

UNITED is the local chapter of the Nation Network of Youth Ministers in Rhode Island. UNITED is passionate about bringing about unity in youth ministries throughout Rhode Island. Therefore, UNITED will be hosting youth ministry events four times a year where all youth groups in Rhode Island are invited to come together for a time of worship, teaching, fellowship and more. The very first UNITED event will be held at CCF (during REAL LIFE) on March 1 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
